It was already a dead cert that Pharrell Williams would take home the ‘Fashion Icon’ award, Valentino’s creative director duo Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccoli the ‘International Award’ and Instagram’s Kevin Systrom the ‘Media Award in Honour of Eugenia Sheppard’. I also knew that Chelsea Clinton would give a touching tribute to the late, great Oscar de la Renta.
International Award: Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli for Valentino
What I didn’t know however, was who would be crowned the best women’s wear designer, who would take home the gong for men’s, accessories and who would win the coveted Swarovski awards.

The votes were tallied, and the talents bestowed with the awards at last night’s ceremony included: The Row designers Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen who were awarded the CFDA Award for womenswear, Tom Ford took home the CFDA Award for best menswear designer, and Tabitha Simmons was championed for accessories.

The Swarovski awards went to Rosie Assoulin for women’s wear, Shayne Oliver for Hood by Air for men’s and Rachel Mansur and Floriana Gavriel for Mansur Gavriel in accessories.
