Early in May I talk about the partnership of E! with Diane von Furstenberg on a reality competition show centering on the fashion designer’s quest to find a global brand ambassador for her label.

Only the most intelligent and talented young ladies are considered for the glamorous and highly coveted brand ambassador position with one of fashion’s most lauded brands. “These girls have to work,” Diane says in our exclusive first look at the show. “They’re learning to design, they’re learning about merchandizing. I’m really concerned about how these girls are going to behave.”

Diane herself has handpicked the eight young women, who are as determined to impress her as they are tasked with working in different areas of Diane’s massive empire, based in the fantastic DVF offices in Manhattan’s Meatpacking district.

From planning a press lunch to working at the DVF Spring 2015 show during fashion week, the ladies are expected to execute every duty perfectly, although things don’t always go as planned.

Jeff Olde, the executive vice president of programming and development at E! promises that Diane’s new docu-series will be a “magical” experience full of words of wisdom from one of the most game-changing designers of our time.

“Diane von Furstenberg is one of fashion’s most innovative designers and a true icon who inspires women to seize opportunities,” Jeff says.  “There is a magical, somewhat ‘Willy Wonka’ aspect to the world Diane wants to create with this show.  That is if Willy Wonka were a fabulous, glamorous fashion icon willing to share her secrets with talented young women dedicated to learning them.”
