Things are looking pretty good for Kendall Jenner! The young model – who has had a sterling catwalk season with appearances at Chanel, Balmain, Fendi, Marc Jacobs, Oscar de la Renta and Diane von Furstenberg to name but a few – could be the new face, (and body!) of Calvin Klein!
Kendall has been taking Instagram pics of herself in her Calvin Klein underwear for a while now and after appearing in campaigns for the likes of Estée Lauder, Karl Lagerfeld and Marc Jacobs, we’re about to see a whole lot more of her!
Jenner has done nothing to dispel the rumours, and if Calvin Klein are looking replicate the monster success of the Justin Bieber campaign that tapped into the pop-star’s immense social media reach, they can do no better than reality star turned model, Jenner.
Justin Bieber is the brand’s most recent campaign face, and reportedly grew Calvin Klein’s social media following by 3.6 million after appearing in the campaign.
And if the rumour is true, the in-demand model would be joining the ranks of iconic supermodels Christy Turlington, Kate Moss, Lara Stone and Natalia Vodianova, as well as a host of A-list celebrities… So, signed, sealed, delivered 😉
See below my favourite Calvin Klein faces through the ages:
Christy Turlington reprised her role as Calvin Klein’s favourite face back in 2013, 25 years after she first modelled for the brand. Just FYI, she is 44 in this campaign. Seriously.
It’s hard to recall a time when Jamie Dornan wasn’t a household name, but before there was Fifty Shades, the Scottish actor lent his face to Calvin Klein Jeans alongside bombshell Eva Mendes in 2010.
Natalia Vodianova is famous for her eight-season, seven-figure contract with Calvin Klein – and it’s easy to see why the brand didn’t want to let her go.
Back in 1992, Calvin Klein tapped an relative unknown 17-year-old to front its denim line campaign, and later, its Obsession fragrance. 23 years later, Kate Moss is now one of the world’s most iconic faces.
No Calvin Klein campaign wrap-up would be complete without this iconic Mark Wahlberg shot, taken back in 1992 when he was known as Marky Mark, hip-hop star, not Hollywood hunk.
Calvin Klein have never shied away from controversial imagery, and their “nothing comes between me and my Calvins” 1980 campaign featuring a 15-year-old Brooke Shield was no exception.
