Lily-Rose Depp, the 16-year old daughter of Vanessa Paradis and Johnny Depp, has been named the newest ambassador for Chanel for its fall-winter 2015 pearl eyewear advertisements following in the footsteps of many enigmatic celebrities, models and “It” girls, including her own mother, who held the mantle as the face of Coco perfume fifteen years ago, and most recently appeared in a Chanel bag campaign which launched in March.
Lily-Rose Depp has been on the Chanel guest list for a host of events this year, including Karl Lagerfeld’s rare reprisal of the Métiers d’Art Paris-Salzburg collection presentation in New York’s Park Lane (which was by exclusive invitation only) as well as the Chanel Paris Haute Couture show last week.
Lily-Rose Depp for Chanel Eyewear
Shot by Chanel’s hands-on creative director, Karl Lagerfeld himself, Lily-Rose Depp wears vintage-inspired round frames in a way that looks effortlessly cool, with a subtle angst that feels age-appropriate. “Lily-Rose Depp is stunning, she’s a young girl from a new generation with all the qualities of a star,” Lagerfeld said in a statement.
