And while each bag is also laser-etched with the Louis Vuitton signature, the only visual nod to the fact that the collection is specifically for the new BMW is the black and electric blue microfiber lining inside each item – a reference to the German carmaker’s brand colours – that and the fact that like the cutting-edge car they’ve been created for, the luggage is made entirely from carbon fiber to save weight yet increase strength.

The gorgeous BMW i8 is made more comfortable thanks to the four items of Louis Vuitton collection and their sizes are adjusted to the millimeter to fit into the compact car.

The Louis Vuitton luggage series will be available upon request in a selection of LV stores worldwide starting April 1.
