Magdalena Frackowiak for Bulgari Aqua Divina Fragrance Ads

Featuring a campaign shot by Mark Segal – which features a mermaid-esque Magdalena Frackowiak transformed into a modern-day Venus – Bulgari’s newest fragrance Aqua Divina is the first feminine fragrance from the Bvlgari Aqva collection, which has so far included only masculine scents.

Looking sun-kissed, Magdalena poses like a mermaid in the water wearing a multi-colored gemstone necklace.

Alberto Morillas of Firmenich, who created the new scent in collaboration with Bulgari, said that he was inspired by the concepts of nature, youth and femininity, and the idea of ‘sun-kissed beauty’ whilst developing the new fragrance.

“This is a woman who could be strolling through Capri, or on a dreamy, sunny beach.  She took advantage of her day in the sun and sea and her skin is still golden, and now she’s going to get ready for a simple evening out and she’s going to wear perfume,” Morillas said.

Inspired by Botticelli’s painting The Birth of Venus, the fragrance bottle takes its shape from a shell or a pearl, and complements the rounded-pebble-shapped bottles of the masculine fragrances in the men’s range.

Its floral-aquatic composition opens with aromas reminiscent of the salty sea; there are accords of bergamot, salt crystals and red ginger. Magnolia and quince form the heart of the perfume, which is followed by the base of beeswax, precious woods and amber … Mmmmh, the fragrance is announced as very bright and sensual like the video below starring Magdalena Frackowiak and Jon Kortajarena …

 The blonde beauty also stars in Bulgari’s spring-summer 2015 accessories campaign.
