Today, it has finally been confirmed that Peter Dundas will take the creative reins at Roberto Cavalli, with immediate effect.
Following months of rumours and speculation, ex-Pucci artistic director Peter Dundas has been appointed Roberto Cavalli’s new creative director.
“The choice of Peter Dundas was made with the desire to evolve a style that combines glamour, tradition and innovation, recognised worldwide as the signature of Cavalli since the birth of the house.” Roberto and Eva Cavalli commented on the news.

The Norwegian-born creative had been working as the artistic director for Emilio Pucci since 2009, succeeding Matthew Williamson. After working with the Florentine fashion house from 2002 to 2005 before a brief stint at Ungaro, Dundas returns to the brand.
“This is a homecoming for me. It is an honor for me to continue to evolve the wonderful world of Roberto Cavalli and I am very excited by the possibilities and potential of this unique brand. I cannot wait to get started”, says Dundas.

His first collection for the Italian fashion house will be unveiled at Milan Fashion Week in September for the Spring/Summer 16 season.
MSGM’s fashion designer – one of Italy’s most talented contemporary fashion stars and a whizz with prints – has been appointed Pucci’s new creative director following Peter Dundas’ exit.
Massimo Giorgetti will join the iconic Florentine house in April, and his first collection for Pucci will bow at Milan Fashion Week in September.
