Cara Delevingne and Kate Moss for Mango
Last September, the most famous British models of their generations, Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne, posed together for the first time as the stars of Burberry’s campaign for the fragrance “My Burberry.” The concept was as brilliant as it was simple, and Mango’s marketing team must have been inspired, because the Spanish fast fashion retailer has brought the pair together for its fall campaign.

Moss was the face of the label in both 2011 and 2012, but this will be Delevingne’s first stint for Mango, which has previously cast well-known models including Daria Werbowy, Miranda Kerr, Anja Rubik and Anna Ewers. The concept for the campaign is #somethingincommon — alluding to their parallel careers as models, muses, designers and entertainers — and there will be both print ads and TV spots, shot in Toronto, Canada by Inez and Vinoodh (the ad will use the song “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” as a theme).

At first Cara Delevingne has released a sneak peek video from the set of her new Mango campaign, that threatens to reveal her mysterious co-star. In the video the unknown blonde stands positioned with her back to the camera, shrouded in a black cape like cover up that conceals her build. Whilst Cara shares; “I have something in common with this girl. This one. Right here.”

“It’s so great to be working with Mango again, they are such a fresh and modern brand. Inez & Vinoodh have captured the energy of the shoot perfectly, Cara and I always have fun together and you really can see that in this campaign,” Moss says about the project.
The campaign won’t officially launch until September and I can’t wait to see what this dream team has in store for us.
