It’s safe to say that Adidas is having a renaissance in the fashion world right now. The biggest Fashion Month must-have for buyers, editors and designers alike was a pair of the brand’s recently reissued Stan Smith sneakers — Edun’s Danielle Sherman even sent models down the runway in customized pairs for the label’s fall 2014 show — and they’re rapidly approaching wait-list status. Next up for the classic athletic brand? A collaboration with UK-based retailer Topshop, which will hit stores and the web TODAY!!!

Topshop’s Adidas Originals collaboration just made sportswear a wardrobe essential.

In a video released to promote the collaboration, Topshop’s creative director Kate Phelan says the partnership is a celebration of the relationship between fashion and sport. “Everything is being influenced by sportswear so it was a fantastic starting point to have the Adidas Originals to work with, because they are the classics of sportswear.”

The 20-item collection is a re-imagining of some of Adidas’s signature pieces from throughout its heritage, including tracksuits in new, slim cuts; three-striped Superstar sneakers in graffiti-like patterns; and slouchy logo tees in soft, updated fabrics while incorporating Topshop’s youthful femininity, as seen in the colourful prints inspired by London landscapes. It’s sportswear meets street culture at its finest.
